Stephens County School District’s Title I Program values your voice. As a parent or guardian, your perspective is essential in helping us understand how well our schools and district are meeting your child’s needs. Title I Part A Family Engagement Vision Statement:

What is Title I?

Title I is the largest federally funded program serving elementary, middle, and high schools. Funding is allocated to school districts across the nation based on the number of low-income families in each district. Districts then use these funds to provide additional educational services for the students most in need of support. The core mission of Title I is to ensure that all students are given the opportunity to meet the same high academic standards and expectations.

In accordance with the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act, Section 9306, local educational agencies (LEAs) that accept federal funds must also adopt written procedures for receiving and resolving complaints that allege violations of law in the administration of covered programs.
