Book Check-Out

First graders may check out one book at a time. Second graders may check out two books. If a book is lost or damaged, the following fine must be paid before students will be allowed to check out more books. These fines follow students year to year and from school to school. Thank you for helping teach students to be responsible!

  • Lost or damaged book more than 10 years old: $10
  • Lost or damaged book less than 10 years old: $20

"A good library will never be too neat, or too dusty, because somebody will always be in it, taking books off the shelves and staying up late reading them."

Pre-K Loves to Read

Our Pre-K students enjoyed a read-aloud of Llama Llama Loves to Read and then made their own headbands stating what they love to do! At Liberty Elementary, Readers are Leaders!

Author Visits

Liberty Elementary is proud to host local authors. We were able to host Lori Duke McAvoy, graduate of Stephens County, for a read-aloud and Q&A. Pre-K through 3rd grade students were able to hear Ms. McAvoy read, ask questions about the writing and publishing process, and talk about kindness. She also donated a signed copy of her book Jacob and George's Kindness to our school.
