About Mr. Daniel:

Hello 1st & 2nd Grade students, family, and friends! My name is Mr. Jamie Daniel, and I am excited to be your School Counselor this year. I am originally from a small town outside of Augusta, Georgia and have lived in Toccoa since 2017. I obtained my bachelor's degree in counseling psychology from Toccoa Falls College and am very close to finishing my master's in education for school counseling from Liberty University. I love hiking with my goldendoodle-Bowser, photography, legos, reading, and anything Harry Potter related.

My primary role as school counselor is to support all students' academic, social, emotional, and career development. I will work with students through individual guidance lessons, classroom instruction, small groups, and school wide events throughout the year. I also assist and prioritize all students' safety to create a healthy environment for all students to learn and thrive at school.

Please do not hesitate in reaching out to me if there are any ways that I can help support you all throughout the year!

  • All students have the right to an emotionally and physically safe learning environment.

  • Relationships are meaningful.

  • All students are unique and deserve a learning environment conducive to their learning.

  • Students will be successful and reach their fullest potential when given a safe, nurturing environment.

  • The school counseling program is an integral part of your child’s learning.

The mission of the school counseling comprehensive program is to foster meaningful relationships. While also providing support services that promote social, emotional, and academic growth of all students. The school counseling program will lay a foundation for lifelong learning and social-emotional wellbeing by fostering self-respect, awareness of others, and self-efficacy.
